Who they are

ECOVACS ROBOTICS is a Chinese robot maker with its head office in Suzhou. The company says it was founded in 1998 by Qian Dongqi, and that the ECOVACS brand was created in 2006. Its own history page lists research sites in Suzhou and Shenzhen, plus offices in Germany, the United States, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The company has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2018, under the code 603486. The listing detail comes from stock market sources, not from the company site. Ecovacs states that its products reach nearly 180 markets and more than 38 million households, and that it holds about 2,500 patents. Those are company figures and are not independently checked here.

What they build

The main product is the DEEBOT, a robot that vacuums and mops floors at home. The range runs from the X series flagships down to T, N and compact mini models. Most of the bigger models come with a base station that empties the dust and washes the mop.

Ecovacs also builds three other home machines. WINBOT robots stick to glass and clean windows. GOAT robots mow lawns and navigate without a boundary wire. The ULTRAMARINE P1 is a pool cleaner, a product line the company added in 2025.

A separate business sells DEEBOT PRO machines for offices, shops and warehouses. That line includes the K1 VAC vacuum robot and the M1 scrubbing robot. Ecovacs says the newer M1 3D uses a three-dimensional laser scanner to find its way in large buildings.

What they are known for

Ecovacs is known for packing features into floor robots early. It says the DEEBOT X11, shown in 2025, is the first robot vacuum with what it calls PowerBoost charging, which tops the battery up during cleaning pauses. The company claims up to 1,000 square metres of cleaning in one session. “World’s first” here is the company’s own wording, not a verified fact.

It also sells a voice assistant called YIKO inside its robots, and says a newer version is linked to a large language model, meaning software that understands everyday speech. In 2025 it announced a partnership with the appliance group BSH to develop a built-in vacuum and mopping robot. Nothing on the company site says when such a built-in product goes on sale.

How they sell

Home robots are sold to anyone. Ecovacs runs country websites with a “Where to Buy” page, sells through its own online shops and through retailers and marketplaces. Prices differ by country and change often, so no price is given here.

Commercial robots are sold a different way. The company points business buyers to its separate commercial site and to an email address for partners and distributors. It does not publish list prices for those machines.

Using their pictures

The global newsroom carries press releases with photographs, but it sets out no rules for using them. The site-wide terms of use instead reserve the rights to all website content. On that basis this site treats the photographs as not free to republish.
