CAGR

CAGR answers the question: if this had grown by the same percentage every year, what percentage would that be? It is a way of summarizing a bumpy multi-year trend in one figure.

If a country installed 3,000 robots in 2020 and about 10,500 in 2025, that works out to roughly 27% CAGR. The actual path may have included a crash year and a boom year, but the average annual rate is 27%.

The trap is that CAGR hides volatility. Two markets can show the same CAGR while one grew steadily and the other collapsed and then rebounded — very different risk profiles for anyone deciding where to build a plant.
