No-go zone
A no-go zone is a virtual fence. You draw a box on the robot’s saved map, and the robot plans its route around that box from then on.
It only works on robots that keep a map, usually models with a laser scanner or camera navigation. Budget robots that navigate by motion sensors alone cannot store one.
No-go zones belong to a specific map. If you delete the map to start again, the zones go with it, so manufacturers suggest saving a copy first.
