Screen-free coding
Screen-free coding robots are programmed directly on the toy or on a small remote, often by pressing arrow buttons in order. The child builds a route, presses go, and watches the robot follow it.
Parents pick these for young children who should not spend more time on a screen, and because there is no app, account or update to manage.
The trade-off is room to grow. Once a child masters routes and loops, a screen-free robot usually has no next step, and many families move on to an app-based robot.
